  • For the dough
  • 1 cup
    refined flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • tablespoons
    ghee
  • For apple pie Stuffing
  • 1 tablespoon
    butter
  • 2
    apples, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon
    cinnamon powder
  • 2 tablespoons
    roasted almonds, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons
    HERSHEY'S SYRUP Indulgent Caramel Flavor
  • ½ teaspoon

For apple pie stuffing:

In a non-stick pan, add butter and allow it to melt completely. Add chopped apples and sauté until slightly cooked.

Now, add cinnamon powder, apple cider vinegar, almonds, HERSHEY'S SYRUP Indulgent Caramel Flavor and mix until nice and thick.

Remove from heat and allow it to cool.

For the dough:

In a bowl, add refined flour, salt and ghee. Rub and mix together with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs like consistency.

Add a little water or as required and knead a stiff but a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a damp muslin cloth and set aside to rest for 15 minutes.

To assemble the gujiya:

Take a small portion of the dough and roll it out. Keep the filling in the centre then fold it and give it a gujiya shape.

Deep fry the gujiya in hot oil until golden brown.

Tip - Drizzle your favorite HERSHEY'S SYRUP on top of the gujiya and serve.
